Harkin on GOP Tax Scam: ‘It forgets everyday Iowans’

Senate consideration of GOP Tax Scam, with historic cuts to Medicaid, is delayed for good reason. Former U.S. Senator Tom Harkin reminds us that it forgets everyday Iowans. 

Representatives Marianette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn not only forgot about their constituents when they voted for the GOP Tax Scam—they chose to put billionaires over working people and put healthcare at risk for 106,781 Iowans. While the Senate attempts to consider the bill, Iowans’ lives hang in the balance, as 116 additional Iowans could die every year if passed. Iowans need Senators Grassley and Ernst to oppose the bill in the Senate to stop Medicaid cuts and focus instead on lowering costs  for working families.

Transcript: People who are voting for, like the Trump bill and that reconciliation bill and had some before, they're forgetting the basic people who live here. 

Even those people probably voted for them on the mistaken idea, I think, that these people are going to look out for their best interests.
