NEW ADS: Fairness for Iowa calls out Nunn and Miller-Meeks for raising the cost of Thanksgiving dinner
Iowans are paying 10% more for the holiday meal, caused by tariffs supported by their members of Congress
Fairness for Iowa has launched new digital ads calling out Representatives Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn for high costs at the table this Thanksgiving.
The ads hold Nunn and Miller-Meeks accountable for their support of tariffs, and other policies that raise prices for Iowa families. Thanksgiving dinner will cost nearly 10 percent more this year compared to 2024, hitting already tight budgets this holiday season. Additionally 53 percent of Americans have been anticipating that Thanksgiving will be harder to afford this year, with many deciding to have fewer items served at the table, some are even planning to skip the holiday entirely.
These ads are in addition to Fairness for Iowa’s ongoing seven-figure ad campaign, holding Nunn accountable for his support of and votes for policies that hurt working Iowans and their families, the group has also aired ads targeting Miller-Meeks for her support of tariffs and refusal to lower health care costs.
